This 15-year-old Auchroisk pairs a carefully selected Speyside single malt with the work of William Blake. Matured in a 1st fill American oak ex-bourbon cask, the whisky brings its own distinctive character to a release whose label features artwork that was showcased at the William Blake’s Universe exhibition in Cambridge in spring 2024. The collaboration treats the image and spirit as equal parts of one presentation: an individual cask chosen for its quality, framed by an artist whose work continues to invite new interpretation.

The distillery
Auchroisk
Hailing from Scotland’s Speyside whisky region, Auchroisk distillery was founded in 1974 by Justerini & Brooks and is located near the hamlet of Mulben. Built to produce single malt whisky for the successful J&B blend, the distillery remains an important part of Diageo's blending operations.
Construction of the distillery began in 1972 following the discovery of Dorie's Well, whose water was found to be well suited to whisky production.
Known for producing a nutty, fruity and lightly spicy spirit, Auchroisk develops honeyed cereal sweetness through ageing. While much of its production is destined for blends, its single malts can reveal great depth. Despite its relatively recent origins, Auchroisk continues to demonstrate the character found amongst Scotland's more established distilleries.
The Speyside whisky producing region, centred on the River Spey, is home to the greatest concentration of whisky distilleries in the world. The region benefits from abundant water sources, a long-standing whisky making tradition and favourable conditions for maturation.
More than fifty distilleries operate throughout the region, producing a wide variety of single malt whiskies. While styles vary between distilleries, Speyside whiskies are often associated with approachable, fruit driven flavour profiles. The region also has a longstanding association with sherry cask maturation, which contributes to the diversity of styles found.
We seek Speyside whisky for its exceptional diversity. From delicate and floral spirits to richer, more robust styles, the region offers a broad spectrum of character that responds well to a variety of maturation approaches. Many of the region's richer spirits are particularly well suited to long term maturation, developing depth and complexity with age.
